Cocktail Of The Day (because it’s always cocktail hour somewhere in the world). This week’s #COTD is The Shipwreck- a delightful concoction I stumbled upon while researching spring cocktails. I can tell you right now, this is going to be my summer drink of choice. It’s sweet, acidic, refreshing, with just a hint of spice from the Angostura.
1 oz bourbon
1 oz aged rum
¾ oz lime juice
½ oz simple syrup
Combine all ingredients in a shaker over ice and shake until chilled. Strain into a mini highball over crushed ice. Garnish with a mint sprig and 3-4 dashes of Angostura. Recipe courtesy of Jamal Hassan of Portland, OR (originally published at Imbibe).
