Cocktail Of The Day (because it’s always cocktail hour somewhere in the world). This week we are doing a special edition #COTD. With the Bacardi Legacy national finals just around the corner, we will be featuring a couple of the cocktails created by some of Canada’s top bartending talent.
Mike Shum of Fairmont Pacific Rim will be representing Vancouver in the national finals on March 23rd. The winner will move on to the global finals in Australia. For the purposes of this competition, Mike created The Chan Chan– a cocktail inspired by Cuban lifestyle, music, and night life. 1.5 oz Bacardi Superior
½ oz Lime Juice
⅓ oz St. Germain
⅓ oz Martini Dry
⅓ oz Simple Syrup
3 Dashes Peychaud’s Bitters.
Shake all ingredients over ice and fine strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with an edible flower.
