Last week we featured the first installment of our Bottom Of The Barrel Challenge- a collaborative effort between Two For The Bar, Joann Pai (of Acorn Mag) and our friendly, local bartenders (for further explanation, please see last week’s post).
Shaun Layton- our first participant- successfully concocted a most excellent cocktail featuring blue curçao. Shaun forwarded the challenge out of province to Alberta where Model Milk Bar Manager David Bain was called to create a cocktail featuring Van Gogh Espresso Vodka. The challenge was accepted and the result is the second installment of Bottom Of The Barrel!
The Ingredient: Espresso Vodka
1.5 oz Bornholmer Akvavit
.75 oz Espresso vodka
.75 oz Orleans bourbon manzanilla
1 dash Scrapy’s Bitters
1 pinch fancy salt
