I am lucky to live in a city with so many amazing women working behind the bar. Their talents, their skills, their knowledge and their commitment to the cocktail industry consistently blows me away and today was no exception.
Today I got to watch nine of them compete in the second edition of Speed Rack Canada- an all women’s bartending competition.
Founded in 2011, Speed Rack is a cocktail competition by women for women. 100% of the proceeds of their events go to breast cancer research, education and and prevention.
Sending a huge congrats to all nine competitors who showcased their skills today and a special shout out to Kaitlyn Stewart, Katie Ingram and Jasmine Radu who will be going on to compete in the national finals in April. Cheers y’all! #BackTheRack
