Bottom Of The Barrel- Olivia Povarchook

2016. It’s been a year. Elections and referendums and protests and loss and Bowie and Prince and Professor Snape. It’s been a year. And it’s been hard. And I don’t know about you but I feel like I’ll be white knuckling it through the remaining weeks until New Years Eve.

And so for my own peace and mind (and perhaps for yours), I’ve decided to re-introduce a bit of lightness and silliness and creativity. It was a favourite of mine and it seems timely to bring it back now. For those of you that have forgotten or are just tuning in, Bottom Of the Barrel is a boomerang of sorts wherein we ask a local bartender to use a not-so-savoury ingredient to create a new cocktail. Said bartender will then nominate another and give them a new challenge ingredient. See! Creative, silly, playful. And who couldn’t use a laugh after the kind of year it’s been? So without further ado…..

The Bartender: Olivia Povarchook of Juniper
