Cocktail of the Day (because it’s always cocktail hour somewhere in the world). With our first #COTD in a while, I thought we better make it special. And what better way to mark the occasion than with an award-winning cocktail from Bacardi Legacy regional finalist Giancarlo Quiroz Jesus of The Diamond.
Giancarlo will be representing Vancouver in the Bacardi Legacy Canadian finals next Tuesday, March 23rd. The winner will go on to represent Canada in the global finals which will be hosted in San Francisco this May. With the El Ritmo– a cocktail inspired by the rhythm and soul of Central American culture- Giancarlo has created a play on a classic Pina Colada.
The Recipe:
50ml Bacardi Superior
10ml Cynar
30ml Fresh Pineapple Juice
15ml Fresh Lime Juice
15ml Coconut Cream
Combine ingredients and shake over ice. Serve over crushed ice and garnish with a mint sprig.
