Cocktail Of The Day- because it’s always cocktail hour somewhere in the world. I continue to will spring into existence through cocktails, this week with The Hemingway Daiquiri. Named for the notorious author, Hemingway was rumoured to have knocked back a dozen of these in a night at Havana’s El Floridita. I don’t know about 12 but I’ll certainly take one please……or 3.
Recipe:
2 oz white rum
3/4 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
1/2 oz maraschino liqueur
Garnish with a lime wheel (although I made mine with grapefruit and flowers)
Shake all ingredients over ice and strain into a coupe. Garnish with your citrus fruit of choice.
